Dec. 14th, 2020 12:54 pmWow! So. That's more activity than this DW has seen in a decade.
It's made me nostalgic for the fandom-that-was, but of course early SPN was pre-AO3, so a lot of it has just vanished. I was scrolling through the crack_van recs, which are all still there, but of course most of the links are dead.
And then I remembered.
Until about 2010, I created an enormous filing task every week for myself of saving down every single fic I read and indexing them in an Excel file. So. Yeah. I have everything I read for the first few years of my SPN fandom. I stopped at some point because, after AO3, and after pinboard, I was like, why am I creating a filing task for myself on my offtime? But considering how much stuff gets pulled by authors even in a stable archive like AO3, I kinda wish I'd kept it up.
I guess I know what I'll be spending my Christmas vacation doing (reading old SPN fic, that is, not attempting to save a copy of everything I've read in the last decade--though I could, I've tagged all of it in pinboard).
