Apr. 1st, 2007 12:04 amThey are finally, finally releasing season two of Twin Peaks. Six years after the release of season one. But why is season one now no longer available? There have to be more people like me out there who were waiting for the assurance of owning the whole thing before buying the first season. They have to reissue season one, right? Right???

Date: 2007-04-01 04:41 am (UTC)Although no release date has been announced, plans also call for Paramount to re-release the first season box set to include the pilot episode - with an all-new high def transfer - which was left off of the Artisan release due to rights issues. In any case, be sure to check out the entire interview with Lynch over at Amazon Wire. (from http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/showthread.php?t=102057&page=10)
I'll have to upgrade from my VHS boxset one of these days too.

Date: 2007-04-01 05:59 am (UTC)Now the idea is to wait a little longer and release a special edition box set of both season with lots of special features. This is why SEASON TWO has no commentaries or special features.
Point of Trivia. In issues of X-FACTOR, Peter David pretty much said that Marvel comic character Valerie Cooper had a brother named "Dale" who worked for the FBI. :-) ooooooh.
