I just opened my wallet to pull out a dollar bill and accidently pulled a ten ruble note my highschool roommate gave me instead. What will ten rubles by? Apparently, in Moscow, where former roomie lives, 20 will buy a beer. How much is ten rubles worth, you ask? Forty cents.

Nope, saw her on Sunday. Back in highschool she lived in France.

She also gave me a Russian christmas card, which she helpfully translated, even though part of the translation was "this phrase can't really be translated."
