I've been attacked by a power rangers fic and it won't let me go. Yes, another one. And I did say power rangers. Man, I need to finish writing this thing so I can stop thinking about it and actually get work done.

Once it's finished, does anybody want to beta it? Preferably someone not utterly repulsed by the idea of short Japanese people in spandex overdubbed by English actors yelling, "Hiyah!!"?

Definitely Mighty Morphin'. I never saw past midway through season two - gave up when rocky, adam and aisha arrived. I mean, Jason always has been my favorite. I haven't quite figured out if Tommy is white or green, but around first season/second season. I have to warn you, though, that I haven't seen the show since it aired, so my knowledge of canon and characterisation is a bit fuzzy right now, and entirely based on the fic I've found on fanfiction.net

I heard Jason came back in Zeo but I've never been able to dig up those eps.

Ah, the good stuff. When the Rangers were Rangers, and everyone was pretty damn gay.

OH MAN, but Adam was the best! Cutest little guy, started getting a crush on Tommy but was totally Rocky's boytoy...

Plus, he had the cutest line in the film. When they all get their cool ninja powers, Adam looks all sad and says, "But I'm a frog." Cutest thing ever. Well, next to Tommy, that is.

White would be second season, Green is first season. Personally, I liked him better in the green. He was so damn pretty first season... (in case you haven't guessed, Tommy's my favorite)

Ouch. There was a MMPR adult archive, with some slash, but I'm not sure if that's still around. Anyway, it was sometimes more porn than fanfic. I have no idea how the fic is that you've been reading, but I'm up on MMPR canon, pretty much. I have several eppies taped...which I am geeky enough to admit to. I even have a couple of the "offical" tapes around here.

Is it slash? What's the pairing? Is it long?

And here I thought I was a brave soul for admitting I liked the power rangers.

At the moment my story is not slash, and has no pairings. It's slightly AU, as I am writing it as if Lord Zed were not a freakin' moron. I don't think I have Billy's speech down right... I'll have to go back over that. I guess I would classify the story as Action/Angst/ Hurt/Comfort. Or something. Right now it topped 3000 words, and I'd estimate I'm about a third done. Who knows how long it will actually end up being. The more I think about it, the more stuff I want to add.

While I'm at it, I have a few questions about canon you would probably have a better chance of knowing than I. 1 - When Tommy moved to Angel Grove, where did he move from? 2 - Do we know anything about any of the power rangers' parents or home lives? Especially Jason's?

Ah, some of us have been embarassing ourselves for years admitting that. not to mention all the trips to the toystore...and then trying to bribe your sister for use of the nephew just so you could go see Jason David Frank in person, only she wouldn't cooperate...

and then there are those of us who are embarassing ourselves still with the new Power Rangers spinoffs (looks meaningfully over at j_crew_guy).

I don't think they said in that eppie, but mentioned it in a later eppie... so, I'm not sure I'll be able to find it in my eppies. I'll look if I can find the tape. Here, lemme dredge up a link for you...

Jason, I could't say. I know we get a lot of Kimberly, coz I think she was the one with divorced parents and had a thing with her dad... and we meet some of Zack's relatives. Again *points to the episode guide* and I'll see what I can come up with, if I can find the tapes. Jason doesnt' really stick in my head, coz... well, I think he was normal as far as the show goes. *grin* no divorce, no abuse, no poor family, no weird relatives... just plain ol' jock.
