I think I need a Patrick Bateman icon for these posts.

I've been listening to "Trick of the Tail" by Genesis again. I always knew that Genesis was Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, which is why I figured I liked both of those artists' solo careers. I just didn't realize that I've never listened to Genesis when they still had Peter Gabriel. This is similar to realizing that although Michael McDonald was in the Doobie Bros., I only listen to pre-McDonald era Doobies.

End random musing.

And here's a random icon for no reason.

I keep telling you! No tutorial! I just play with the pretty buttons!

And thank you for the "compliment" on my icon. I will use it a second time just for you.

It's Michael Hurst playing Ryan, the ship's avatar of the Clarion's Call on the episode "The Knight, Death and the Devil" of Andromeda, season 2. Only the bestest episode ever. Yes, I know. Obscure.

I can't think of what he reminds me of there, but it'll come to me. For now, all I can think of is the poor guy who got to go through the whole waxing procedure (in more than one sense) in House of Wax. Yeah, he had no eyebrows either.

Well, hey, nothing makes MH look less like Iolaus than shellacking his hair black, shaving his eyebrows and making him wear makeup and clothing like a 1970's glam rocker. Which is I guess what they were going for.

BTW, I just heard that MH won the New Zealand Order of Merit. I don't know what that is, but it sounds spiffing.

That icon is awesome. hehehe

And can I say how much I love you right now for referencing American Psycho and Peter Gabriel in the same post? ::loves::

Well, the reference is because after my last post about Genesis [livejournal.com profile] trinityvixen called me Patrick Bateman. I have to say, in that part of the movie, I was nodding along. Yeah...yeah... that's right. Except for the part about Invisible Touch being a paeon to the eighties. That and the album he holds up is not the one that is playing.

But thank for appreciating my much maligned icon. Michael Hurst doesn't look that creepy. OK, maybe he does.
