In fact, I do have some questions about Andromeda. I was wondering about the structure of the High Guard military, and veryschway defers to your knowledge in that respect. I answered some of my questions by reading through the supplemental material on the season one DVDs (which really hurt my eyes, I might add).
I'm writing a fic about Ryan, the Clarion's Call, the AI character Michael Hurst played on "The Knight, Death, and the Devil." (What can I say, I'm a Michael Hurst fan.) In the show, it says that Ryan is a troop carrier. He mentions the CO of his Lancer corps. What I was wondering, was would he have a permanent Lancer regiment, or would the troops on board vary from mission to mission? I know Lancers are the High Guard ground troops, but I've been able to find very little other information about them.
Also, if you know of any other fics about Ryan (tall order, I know) I'd love to read them. Or if you'd be interested in beta'ing? I've already started writing, but I can tell it's going to need a lot of work. Thanks!

I apologize for getting back to you so late, I was sick last week and it went into a weekend of stuff to do with the family and of course here we are midweek already.
I've been thinking about your question regarding the High Guard military and trying to think about any episodes that would explain the heirarchy. Unfortunately there are none. There is a great site: http://www.ladymaigrey.com/index-2.html where you can find a "dictionary" of many Andromeda terms, complete with pictures too.
I surfed around the 'net looking for something to help and didn't find it. I don't think the Official Site (http://www.andromedatv.com/) has anything specific about the military, not with the detail you need/want.
I'm sorry I'm not helpful, I just have no idea. As for beta-ing, it would be my pleasure. :) I like to beta, I'm a little slow, but I like to do it so whenever you are ready, send me something. *g* I haven't read Andromeda fic in a while, but I watched all five seasons of the show (seasons one and two a lot). I'm looking forward to what you've written, it sounds like an interesting story.
