I am struck by the sudden urge to build a web page.

OK, I'm procrastinating, I admit it.

Anyone know of a good, cheap, mostly un-annoying web-hosting company?

I dig DreamHost, as do several other people I know. They currently (it's a longstanding kind of current, no pressure) have a sale going whereby you get three times the space, bandwidth, domain hosting, etc., as you'd get normally.

If you end up deciding to go with them, let me know, 'cause they have a referral system and I'd love the mention. ;-)

What would you put on your webpage? Constantine and Power Rangers fic? Links to things you like? Rantings about how much fic written by 14-year-olds sucks?

You were right on the first guess - fic. Which is why I'm not really willing to pay a lot for it.

Try www.populli.net . It is free, reliable, and only for fannish webhosting. Very, very slash-friendly. alice ttlg runs the place--she gets more webspace from her provider than she can use, so she provides space for other fen to put their fanac! Sooo nice! :)

fanac? That's a new term. Actually, [livejournal.com profile] feiran just very kindly offered some of her space, so I think I'm set!
