Smallville - Perry
Oct. 29th, 2003 10:03 pmSqueeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's official. Smallville is back and running.
I have not laughed so hard since the flying cow in the X-Files episode Rain King. I'm going to be thinking of that tractor and smirking all day tomorrow. And running to Lake Tahoe! That's hilarious! Sigh....
What thrilled me the most about this ep was (I know I'm a geek) the continuity with the on-line newspapers. Not only did I notice the story in last week's Ledger about the solar flares and think, hmmm, I know a certain pubescent superhero who gets his powers from the sun, but when Perry mentioned Clark's by-line on a story on new gym mats, I thought - I read that! Now I know they always use newspaper headlines mentioned in the show AFTER the show airs, but in this case, we have TWO stories from the week before that figure in!
Too many good things in this ep for me to point them all out - the return of Clex, Lex freaking out, Chloe really starting to worry about Lionel, hell, even Lana running to Lex for help (who's the man?). And Perry's line about doing three minutes of research on the town.
So the Kents bought a new truck last week and are going to have to buy a new tractor this week. Um, Lex?
Way to go Pete! You actually had lines! And a minor backup part in the plot! Undercover Brother, indeed.
I'm afraid. If Perry prints his big story about Lionel Luthor... what are we about to find out?
One more thing. 1960's Smallville?!?! Ugh! Gag me! Only my insane loyalty to the show is going to get me to sit through that. It's just an excuse to get Clark and Lana in the sack together and make it AU.
OK, I was liking it until the giant deformed Lorne showed up. What was that? And enough with the Wesley jealousy already! His mind might have been wiped, but ours haven't. Give it up. Let's have a new Wesley plotline.
