Jeff Koons, who mimicked the form of a balloon animal dog in a series of very famous sculptures is now ordering a small gift shop to stop selling bookends shaped like balloon animal dogs, since that obviously violates his copyright. To the shape he imitated in the first place.

I am all for remixing art, but not if big-headed, rich artists thinks that makes them the copyright holder of the original work...

This reminds me of a case of an artist who sued because a photo someone took on the street that featured their sculpture in the background was reprinted somewhere.

This is more like Andy Warhol suing Campbell.
