You guys remember reading Tuck Everlasting in middle school? I always found it horribly depressing that their hair didn't grow. Eternal life and no new hairdos? Appalling.
And see, my response to that would be, "Eternal life and never needing to get another haircut? Okay!"
Presumably that means all of their hair, right? So if you shave a part of your body, it stays shaved for the rest of eternity? No more ingrown hairs!
(There's a specific bit in Vampire: The Masquerade discussion how, when a vampire wakes every evening, his/her body has returned the state it was in when they were turned. If you got turned clean-shaven, then you stayed clean-shaven. If you got turned with a goatee, and you wanted to be clean-shaven, you'd need to shave it off every evening when you rose.)
I remember the woman had very long hair, and thinking how if she ever got tired of it and cut it, she couldn't go back--that over time she'd just end up with shorter and shorter hair, and that was really a depressing thought.
This was probably informed by me reading it only a year after THE WORST HAIR CUT OF MY LIFE that took me three years to grow back out into something workable.
I think I'd rather have to recut every evening than be stuck with, say, a bad pixie cut for all eternity. Eternal Kate Gosselin hair! You'd have to hope you were turned when your style was something timeless and Grace Kelly-esque. Imagine being turned as a punk teenager in the eighties.
