This weekend I went out to see my parents on Long Island. I just missed my train, so had to hang around Penn Station for a half hour. In that time I saw 24 Santas (and an elf). Both men and women, usually in groups, some couples. Only two had fake beards and none had real beards. The lamest was the guy who was wearing a baseball cap with a Santa hat safety-pinned to it.

Apparently there was a Santa convention, and the annual Santa Stumble.

There are twenty-four Santas. Two have fake beards and zero have real beards. Quantify.

So, what - are beards just too expensive this year? I can't imagine so many santas and so little polar face fluff. Wacky!

Well, I guess that means that though it was a Santa convention, it was clearly not an AORBS (http://www.aorbsinc.com/) convention. (That is, the Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas. Yes, that's a real organization.)
