back pain in the making
Mar. 25th, 2005 04:07 pmHenry Holt, my sister company, is moving offices. So, they decided they needed to get rid of bookshelves worth of Henry Holt books. And asked anyone and everyone in the Holtzbrinck family to come help clean them out.
I grabbed over twenty books and an audio book then had to lug them back to my office. And I'll have to lug them home. But if they're free, I can't object, right? And these were quality books they had. Recent, bestselling stuff, not bargain basement. This would be one of those perks of working in publishing, wouldn't it? To make us feel better about the pay.
ETA: Yes, I know, I will never read most of these. But they were FREE!
