Oh, livejournal, NEVER LEAVE ME AGAIN!

How am I supposed to procrastinate without constantly refreshing my friends page?

ETA: I just got lj back up (believe me, I've been checking), but it seems that lj has kept going without me. Life is so unfair.

LJ was cranky for me all through Friday, and inaccessible Friday night through Saturday noon, when we left for south Jersey. Apparently they got it running again shortly thereafter, from the volume of posts.

According to the news, it was a coordinated denial of service attack on a number of social media sites, including lj, twitter, and facebook. Rumor has it it was all targeted at silencing one blogger, a Georgian with anti-Russian political views. It seems like lj was back up for different people at different times, but I can tell from at least the volume of my flist that, though there were still posts, it was substantially less than usual.
