I answered my own question of earlier about the water jugs - at one point one jug is shown very clearly to have a cross inscribed on it so they must be holy water. And that's a shitload of holy water. What does he do - bathe in it? Although with that tub, maybe he does. Hmmm....

I added this to my earlier post, but I'll put it here too:
-If anyone cares, it was 5:25AM when John slashed his wrists. Just thought I'd put that in since I bothered to read the watch.

Maybe he has unholy intestinal parasites and drinks the doctor recommended 8 glasses of water a day in holy water to get rid of them.

I think this is a detail that definitely needs to be explored in a fic. There are a couple of things about Constantine's place that seem a bit paranoid - the holy water, the runes on the door, the fact that he can open every shutter in the place by pulling on one chain.

This is definitely the "well-prepared" Constantine typically seen in Swamp Thing, rather than the "damn lucky" Constantine that typifies many of his successes in Hellblazer.

Being able to open every shutter in the place would be really handy if you have a vampire during the day--but then, the comic Constantine managed to kill the King of the Vampires by...letting himself get bitten.

I don't know about Hellblazer, but Granny Weatherwax defeated a family of vampires by letting the head of the family bite her. Instead of his blood turning her, she used her blood to turn him. A vampire who badly needs a nice cup of tea is a strange, strange, and terribly sad creature.

Ha! That just reminds me of the Pilot of Angel. Angel in that makes tea for the poor lost soul he's trying to help. According to the commentary, one of the producers wanted to put that in the credits just because Angel going, "I made you tea" is a funny funny thing.

Not sure it's really established in the Vertigo universe what they are. But a mouthful of demon blood...oh, it burns, it burns.

(Constantine had a transfusion, against his will, from a demon awhile back. Long story.)
