More info on the new Sherlock Holmes. (Warning: vague spoilers for the general premise of the movie.) There are many things in this that make me...leery of this adaptation. (Like the words "green screen effects" and "inspired by Conan Doyle.") But there's also this:

"I think the word bromance is so passé," Downey grinned. "We are two men [Holmes and Watson] who happen to be roommates who wrestle a lot and share a bed."

Oh, RDJ. You had me at bromance.

He's such a nose-tweaking, filter-free dude. Gotta love that. It's like he wants to just come out and go, "They're gay, get over it," but he knows the studio WILL MURDER HIM if he said it. So he's going to say it such that they can't say he said it but so that everyone knows it was said. I appreciate that, especially after that Twilight guy mysteriously stopped talking about how fucking ridiculous that series was...

Later in the interview he says, "People come up to me [since Iron Man] and say you're so cool! No, Tony's cool. I'm more...ectomorphic than that."

The interviewer was like ... Tony was also joking about his history of drug abuse. None of this is making my RDJ crush any less.
