Kim Manners

Kim Manners passed away earlier today. He was one of my all-time favorite TV directors, and one of the reasons why The X-Files and Supernatural were both so creepy. I will miss his work.

Oh my god! Someone else knows who Kim Manners was! His X-Files episodes were my favorites--they were tight and well-paced. He was fairly young, too. Sigh. I will miss his work, too.

I love Kim Manners. It's usually the first thing I say when trying to pimp Supernatural to someone--Kim Manners, who directed a third of the episodes of X-Files, is working on it. Cause that's reason enough.

Normally when I see celebrity passings, I either think who? or, oh, right, them. This is one of the few times when I'm actually upset.

...I wish I had an X-Files icon.
