My EEE PC has arrived! Well, by arrived I mean mithras03 drove me to the UPS depot to pick it up. But in any case, I am writing this on my new tiiiiny laptop, with its strangely placed shift key. And with this, I will rule the world! Mwahahaha.
1000HA. I was sold on the larger keyboard. It has already proved useful in the copyediting, because I can type in the style sheet as I come across alternate spellings, instead of taking notes and typing it out later.
I need to find an SGA decal for it, though. Unfortunately, the ones in the show are black and so wouldn't show up on this.
Um...I don't know? I'm going to have to ask you how to set .doc as a default on this, though. Also, there are like 20 wireless networks I can pick up in my building (most of them secured). I wonder if I'm in range of ones for the school.
Okay, we can talk about this when I see you today, but the first thing you want to do is hook it up to the corded (secure) internet in your apartment, and purchase, download and install Norton Antivirus. This is the very first thing you should do. Then you should go and download OpenOffice and install that. (And I can set the defaults for you if you bring the computer today/tomorrow.)

In my defence, I was writing this on the EEE...which has no internet yet, so I had to save it to a USB key and then copy and paste it on the other computer, so my error checking was not up to its usual rigorous standards. Whatever. It's the novelty of the thing.
