ivyficAt rehearsal today (yes, on a Saturday) the conductor got onto this tangent about auditions he heard recently. It was for something or other directed by Erika Palskhg (or something), who, he mentioned, directed the first street performance of Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical.
?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!!?
My jaw hit the floor.
Debbie Does Dallas the Musical?? A street performance?
He quickly clarified: "Porno free!"
I have not laughed so hard in a long, long time. For the rest of the rehearsal he'd be talking about something else and just insert "Porno free!" A couple of times I couldn't sing because I was laughing.
His name is now officially James "Porno Free" Bagwell.
Man.
And just so you know, not only is Debbie Does Dallas a real musical, but you can buy the soundtrack on amazon:
