And another thing...

What makes the ending of the Donna story so unsatisfying for me is that we get a moment of understanding between Donna and the Doctor. He finally sees her insecurities--up till then I think he's just been steamrollered by this forceful personality and not looked too much beyond it. So we get this moment where he finally gets her, and maybe finally starts to help her understand her own worth--and not only does Donna get her mind wiped so that development's wasted on her, but the Doctor who realized this is the one shipped off with Rose. He had a real connection to Donna (beyond the biological), I loved that first scene between them. I would've liked to see that play out. But instead they treated consolation prize!Doctor as a prop in Rose's storyline and completely ignored his connection to Donna... *sigh*
There's a reason why I've already started three episode tags to this episode. So much to fix.
