Overheard in NY...

The guy sitting next to me at The Incredible Hulk started fiddling with his phone when the previews came on. It was an iPhone, so I could see him clicking around the various screens. Finally he turns to his girlfriend and says, "My phone is so fucking complicated. I'm texting tech support to ask how to switch it to vibrate."

He obviously didn't get an answer before the movie started, since his phone rang. Twice.

On the way home on the PATH, I was standing next to two guys who were talking sports. I tuned it out until one of them said, "When I get home I'm going to watch Gossip Girls. I downloaded the whole season, so it's going to be a Gossip Girls marathon."

Surely there is a way to hold down a button on an iPhone, like the iPod to make it shut up and turn off?

Some people are too stupid to be allowed to buy iphones. The thing has a total of three buttons. One turns it to silent. One turns off the screen. The other is the big round one on the face. I'm not sure how they could make it simpler for him.
