ivyficI went to the B&N at Union Square over lunch to pick up Storm Front by Jim Butcher. (I just finished watching "The Dresden Files," which I liked quite a lot, so I figure I should read the books.)
It's been a long time since I've been in a bookstore, especially one that large. I had to physically drag myself away from some of the display tables. The table with books on single topics, like Stiff, Cod, Salt, and one book on cannibals—I could have bought every book on that table and been happy. That would not be good for my time, my bookshelves, or my wallet.
