Outside my building right now are a bunch of picketers handing out buttons and trying to get people to celebrate the repeal of prohibition--apparently tomorrow is the anniversary.

It takes a certain dedication to stand out in the freezing, occasionally snowing, cold with signs and petitions for something that ended before anyone alive today was born.

Dude, why NOT celebrate the end of prohibition? I'm gonna celebrate tonight with some JD. Baring that, wine. But ideally, hard-as-it-gets liquor. Woo!

I'm pretty sure it's a gurrilla marketing thing for one of the liquor companies, I've seen an ad or two on that theme, but can't remember the booze.
