iPod

Since I sold my car, I bought an iPod. (What? It makes perfect sense! And I get far more use out of an iPod on a daily basis than I do from a car.) It is a black classic iPod and I will love it and keep it and call it my own. The real question is...

I have not bought a case for it yet because I have this sudden desire to have a case with ears. But if I google "iPod case ears," I get a lot of earphones, and if I google "iPod case animal," I get a lot of cases made out of animals, like alligators and giraffes. There must be cute cases out there with ears. Anyone know where I could find one?

It's black; therefore, Max. If it were white, I woulda gone for George. I'm not sure why.

As for cases, drop by the Radio Shack website and poke around; also, try Apple proper (expensive--just go trolling for search terms) and places like Target.com. Also, Mac Warehouse might have 'em handy.

But how often do you actually refer to it as Ford Prefect's Towel? I'm assuming it's white, then.

Oddly enough, the new iPod classics only come in black and silver, not white. I would totally have gone with white if it had been an option.

I vote Max, 'cause if you drop it or it gets wonky, you can always say ala Get Smart, "Ohhhh MAX!"

Max, strangely enough, is not for any fannish reason at all. When I was little, I decided that the only acceptable boy's name was Max. All my male stuffed animals were named Max, along with a few tennis balls (don't ask). I think this is probably because I didn't know any Maxes.

If you got a rabbit-eared case, you could ask George to tell you about the rabbits. I bet Ms. Beans could create a case-with-ears, given her experience with iPod cases and hats-with-ears.

It makes perfect sense to me. I gave up my car when I moved here, and the ipod followed as soon as they existed. The ipod is far more useful. ;)
