I have finally caught up on Heroes and have decided it's just not worth it to try and write fanfic for it anymore. Either you need to write before a new episode airs, or you just need to ignore large chunks of canon. Either way, I'm sure I'd wind up watching each new episode going "No! No! Crap!" So, I'm throwing in the towel. That plotty fic that I started writing after season one? Yeah, it's going in the crapper.

But everyone is very understanding of Jossed stories in Heroes fandom! We all know it happens! Just call it an AU and post it anyway.

I understand if you don't want to, and but it's par for the course in Heroes fandom, and this show needs fic badly.

Good fic, too. There's plenty to be had if you write about Petrellis (AHEM), but try finding decent Sylar fic.

You assume that that is even necessary, that the visual is necessary. I think the legions of satisfied ficcers who're quite capable of using the words and letting imagination do the rest make my case for me.

I think I need to get to a place where I've reconciled myself to the fact that my fic takes place in a little AU bubble. But I'm not quite there yet. I'm still mourning all the SPN fics of mine that have been variously Kripked and Jossed.
