They just opened a new Starbucks a few doors down from my building. There were baristas standing outside with thermoses strapped to their back this morning giving out samples. So now instead of having four Starbucks in a one block radius of where I work, there are five. I will no longer have to go out of my way at all to get pumpkin spice loaf.

Granted, I work in a busy part of the city, but I swear there are about 8 within three blocks of where I work. ALL HAIL OUR STARBUCKS OVERLORDS. (Gets their curry chicken + Couscous for lunch for the bazillionth time)

Actually, you will probably have to go out of your way to avoid being ambushed by crazed baristas swatting people with pumpkin spice loaf and then drenching them in scalding coffee.

It's a point of contrarian pride with me that I've managed to avoid Starbucks while living in the city. This resolution has taken me as many as twelve blocks out of my way.
