I am here to say that, yes, I have fallen for another fandom. After the incessant whining of trakkie in person and linaerys on lj and pretty much everyone else I know (yes, even the non-fandom, non-sci fi friends who don't understand me when I scream spoilers! spoilers! and plug my ears) I have now watched all of Heroes.

New icon to celebrate. Yay!

Watching Heroes is like watching a puzzle being put together. Each character has a set of problems and each character has an ability, and watching it all back to back, as I did, I kept thinking about how you needed to line things up to get the right abilities together to solve each problem. It's kind of neat.

This is the type of show, though, that I prefer watching on DVD to weekly on TV. I tend to like shows best that are episodic with plot arcs weaved in (like Buffy, or Supernatural, or X-Files), whereas Heroes is like one sixteen-hour movie. But I suspect that now that I'm up to speed I'll have to watch it week to week just so I can talk to my friends.

I was afraid of that. Mostly because of the teasing that would then follow, especially from my roommie (who sees conspiracy in my laziness when I don't get up to turn that off after Smallville).

Plus, viridian now has that on her list to consider, so the ranks are closing in. Fortunately, she's more likely to make me watch Angel.

Heroes can be frustrating to watch week to week since there are so many characters and story lines, but it's such crack that I wouldn't want to try waiting a whole season to catch-up. Plus I would no doubt get horribly spoiled. But hey, only one week till the finale!
