ivyficA few months ago, the mall next to where I live installed huge flat-screen monitors hanging from the ceiling at every major entrance and intersection in the mall. Do you know what these monitors do? They play Dr. Phil on endless repeat. Dr. Phil, telling us that we deserve the best things in life.
Yes, Dr. Phil has turned into some kind of bizarre propoganda guru, presiding over the mall like Big Brother, telling us to spend, spend, spend our unhappiness away.
It's seriously creepy. I may never be able to look at Dr. Phil again.
