SPN 2x19 Folsom Prison Blues
Apr. 27th, 2007 10:38 pmSupernatural! You have redeemed my faith in you! *mwah*
-I was actually surprised at points in this episode. Yay!
-I was genuinely frightened by the ghost for the first time since some time last season. Yay!
-New old-friend-of-John's to use in fic. Yay!
-ALICE IN CHAINS. OMG THEY USED ALICE IN CHAINS. Yay!
The only minor nitpick I have is using the pretty young female lawyer as a patsy. Did she have to be a woman? Cause she came off as that idiot chick in Bond movies that switches sides because of Bond's "charm." She goes to speak to the lead FBI investigator building a major Federal case against her two clients and tries to convince them there's something...strange going on. What??? You're a defense lawyer, woman! Why are you not talking like a defense lawyer? Why are you trying to convince the investigator your guys aren't guilty instead of, oh, I don't know, building a legal defense? Sheesh! Did she have to be such a credulous idiot?
But other than that--fantastic episode. I was worried for the boys, but they never got too angsty. Dean found his footing, but not too quickly. And now I am eagerly awaiting the prison fic. Cause you know this is just crying for a "Dean went to juvie" story. Or many of them.
Cannot wait till next week! Preview looks so good. Bring on the angst!
