I think my general stance on all my writing is I think it's all crap but am desperately hoping someone will contradict me.

Dude, I just wrote a scene where one of the characters suddenly started talking like Gollum. I have hit a new low.

I wrote a scene where somebody's ear was cut off and then the body dumped for sharks. You might be channelling Tolkien, but I am channeling bad action bad guy scenes. Win-win, you ask me.
