ivyficNew default picture! Yes, it is time to retire the Batman Beyond "Eggbaby" pic. It has served me well for three years.
This is a photo of a stained glass window in a memorial in Brasilia. The building it's in (which you can see in the background of this shot) is on the Three Powers Square, which has the Brazilian Supreme Court, Congress and their version of the White House on three of its sides. What you can't tell from the photo is that it's several football fields in size, and all white tile. I was in Brazil in January and standing in that square was like being in the middle of a dutch oven. It was hot enough for my sweat to make the cheap green dye leech out of my shirt.
So we took refuge in the only open building -- the war memorial. It's completely dark inside. All the walls are covered in black velvet and it's lit only from this window and a spotlight on a book of names of the fallen. The wall the window is on is actually at quite an angle, so the reflection above the window in the icon is on the ceiling.
So, that's my new icon. Ta-da!
