(no subject)

My old watch crapped out yesterday so I stopped by the mall to get a new one. Why are all watches ugly? All I want is something simple and elegant and all the women's watches have huge amounts of bling or elaborate bands or some hideous gold/silver combination. I swear they intentionally make the twenty dollar watches hideous to force you to buy a more expensive one.

ETA: I did actually buy a watch because I am impatient and demand instant gratification. That and I didn't know what time it was. But it cost a fair bit more than I wanted it to.
