Yeah, I'm a geek

I rewatched "Star-Crossed" last night - the episode of Andromeda guest starring Michael Shanks. To my surprise, there's a throw away line by a bounty hunter: "You're not the only High Guard ship still tooling around. Out by *insert planet name*, there's a Shining Diamond class troop transport retro-fitted as a casino." That's the Clarion's Call she's referring to, the ship in my favorite episode, "The Knight, Death, and the Devil" - an episode that was a season later.

I love continuity like this. It makes my fannish heart go pit-a-pat.

Stargate censoring

I caught a bit of the Stargate pilot on Scifi tonight. And remember my comment about the full frontal nudity in it? They pretty much cut that entire scene. Only two shots remain. And given that that scene is pivotal to the plot, not just of this episode, but of the series - it is the scene where Daniel Jackson's wife is implanted with a Goa'uld larva - that's some censorship. I spotted a couple other little scenes, too, that must have been cut for time.
