I was given the task of coming up with an adjective to use in conjunction with "enemy" to spice up some flap copy. Here are my suggestions:

dangersome
jeopardous
deleterious
internicine
punic
perfidious
redoubtable

As in, "a jeopardous new enemy." Excellent, no? And yes, dangersome and jeopardous are both real words. I <3 the English language.

My personal favorite is "scurrilous."

Well, which are they? Words have meanings.

You cause me pain.

"Perfidious" is good, however. Not sure an enemy would be "internicine"--usually that refers to battles and such. And "redoubtable" is usually considered a good thing. :)

Whatever happened to the classics, like "dastardly", "villainous" or "maniacal?"

Meh. Those are boring.
