OMG! Rodney gets all protective of his sister around Sheppard! (Or perhaps the other way around!)
OMG! Rodney gets all protective of Sheppard around the other McKay!

OMG! She watched the tape!
OMG! Sheppard has the tape! On his computer!
OMG! Sheppard wanted to show Jeannie what a wonderful guy Rodney is!
OMG! Sheppard's trying to make sure Jeannie know how Rodney feels cause he knows Rodney can't say it himself! (Maybe it's just me, but interfering in a brother/sister relationship is totally the territory of the spouse)
That was like pure hurt/comfort Rodney crack. From the mind of a thirteen-year-old fan girl on ff.net. That was an hour of "let's trot out all of McKay's neuroses and laugh at them each in turn." And really, there wasn't even that much comfort at the end... Well, there's always fanfic.
I cannot believe they depleted the ZPM. And I can't believe that no one's asking how many lives will be lost because of that, just to save one man, even if it was a McKay. "You did the right thing" - right. Let's see if anyone thinks that the next time the Wraith attack or the next time they lose a gate team trying to find another ZPM. I can see this as being the writers' way of taking away a far too convenient plot mechanism. There wasn't enough jeopardy while they had the ZPM. Not having it gives us back some of that frantic first season desperation -- but, as with all major plot twists on this show, I don't really trust the writers to develop this properly.
But whatever. If I can witness Rodney being neurotic on a weekly basis, I don't mind if they screw up the big stuff.
I got a little misty-eyed at that last scene. All the popular kids making an effort to make the geek feel included. *sniff*
