Oh God. I just watched a few scenes from Black Death. And it has Jerry Orbach in it. And more importantly, David Hewlett with earrings. All with the shittiest film scoring I've ever heard, short of Clash of the Titans.

And I've found the holy grail: a film with David Hewlett and Callum Keith Rennie in it. Plus, Joey Pantoliano. (The movie's called The Life Before This and (surprise, surprise) David Hewlett dies at the end. And the beginning, actually.) I could so play the Kevin Bacon game of Canadian film stars right now.

Also, from what I saw while fast-forwarding through it, large sections of Joe's Wedding involve a naked man being chained to a ball. And then marrying the dominatrix that kidnapped him at the end. I really don't get it, and am not sure I'll ever watch it all the way through to see if it makes sense.

Have you seen Where the Heart Is? Very 80's. I really liked it though. Great ensemble cast and smushy 80's feelgoodnes....

Yeah, I have. The plot made no sense and I don't know why they kept Hewlett in a cupid costume for the climax of the movie, but I liked the art. Plus there was this very weird incestuous vibe going on between Uma and the father. Seriously disturbing.
