It just took me fifteen minutes to get from the lobby to my cubicle. Why? Because, although there are five (tiny) elevators in this building, one wasn't running and two of them were staunchly refusing to come to the lobby. We'd see them start to come down, reach floor, say 15, then go back up again. When I got to the lobby there were about thirty people there, with more arriving all the time, we all had to wait to fit into just two of the elevators, ferrying us seven people at a time.

Just as I finally got on an elevator, I saw one of the guys that works on the sixteenth floor with me head for the stairs.
