Ah, there's nothing quite like the feeling of knowing you've read every halfway decent fic in a fandom and if you want any more, you have to write it yourself.

I'm sure trinityvixen would share my pain if she were not kicking it back in Hawaii.

Please tell me it's Horatio Hornblower and not King Arthur. (Although Horatio Hornblower came out so long ago it's not surprising if that's dried up too.)

*ahem* It's not Hornblower. Hornblower is actually a fairly decently sized fandom, with quite a lot of good writers. Not so much going on now, but that's not unexpected in a fandom where the canon has been closed for a while.

King Arthur on the other hand, well... I put all my geebling about it in an email to trinityvixen since I figured all y'all would just roll your eyes at me. It's a bad movie that only gives the vaguest hints of characterisation, however, they managed to create a character with huge wells of drama. I think I can now pretty well pick my favorite archetype - this explains my love for Constantine, and Lamont Cranston, and now Lancelot. If you want to hear more, I'll send you the email.
