ivyficMy company does a weekly email with fun activities during busy season, including trivia (one winner gets a gift card).
Last week the trivia question was: "What super hero is in almost every Marvel Team movie?"
I saw that and was like...that's ambiguous. Do they mean MCU? Cause then the answer is Iron Man. Do they mean MCU team up movies? Cause then it's all the Avengers. Do they mean any Marvel movie with a team? Cause then you start getting into X-Men and older, more obscure Marvel property movies. I looked at that and was like, well, whoever wrote this is definitely not a Marvel fan. And then I put Iron Man.
Today they have this as the answer to that question:
"Okay so we've been served! The puzzler question was tricky and almost impossible to accurately answer as our original internet source wasn't correct. (Can't trust the internet).
Depends on how you define "Marvel Team movie" and "super hero". Assuming we're not talking about the Fox-owned Marvel Team movies (X-Men, Fantastic 4) and only the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then assuming that "Team movie" mean those titled by a team (Avengers I-IV, Guardians of the Galaxy 1-2), then Iron Man/Black Widow/Hulk/Thor/Captain America/Nick Fury/Groot/Rocket/Gamora/Drax/Nebula/Starlord are all tied at 4 out of 6 (if we do include the Fox Marvel movies, Quicksilver is also in 4). Thanos appears in more then 4 out of 6, but is clearly not a superhero. If we consider Captain America: Civil War a "team movie", then Iron Man/Captain America/Black Widow/Nick Fury are in 5 of the 7. If it's all MCU movies, then it's Nick Fury at 11. If he's considered more of a spy than a superhero, then it's Iron Man at 10 movies. Of course, since Stan Lee has a cameo in nearly all Fox and MCU Marvel Team movies, and appears as the Watcher in one of them, implying he's secretly the same character in every cameo, then it would be him."
