You may be noticing by now—hey, a lot of these channels are Complexly. And—guilty. There is a concept of “youtube famous,” and that is what the Green brothers are. John Green is author of a number of very popular YA books (The Fault in Our Stars). His brother Hank is also now a novelist, but is the businessman of the two. Years ago, they started the channel vlogbrothers, which I’ll talk about later. With Hank taking the lead, they’ve built a youtube content empire, run cons, and launched product lines. Crash Course is them, so’s Sci Show, and a whole bunch of others. This is Hank Green’s personal channel, where he puts whatever he feels like putting up. So it’s irregular, esoteric, and lately has mostly been snarking about terrible real estate postings on Zillow.
