I have started watching Life, because there is no police procedural I will not try at least once. I'm only a few episodes in, but here is a thing I have noticed:
The leads are a guy and a girl (Damien Lewis and Sarah Shahi). Both are promiscuous, and shown in multiple episodes with one night stands. But Charlie's one-night-stand habit is seen as fun, quirky, harmless, and the object of envy. Dani's? Is explicitly portrayed as self-destructive. You could not possibly be more overt with the double standard than they are being.
