My new roomie is moving in as we speak. And in order to start this year off on the right foot, I spent the morning cleaning the apartment. I even mopped. Me. Mopping. I mean, I've owned a mop for two years, but this is the first time it touched water. I discovered all sorts of presents my old roomie left me. Like an entire bag of swirled chocolate chips dumped down the back of the refrigerator. Or the cheap dish detergent that spilled and congealed under the sink. Or the plastic bags that seem to be shoved into every closet and cupboard.

Ah, well.

As it is, I'm just appreciating all the moving I'm not having to do right now. Sigh. It's the first year since I was fourteen that I haven't moved. It's kind of nice.

Oh, man, I am so happy this is the third year I'm living in my Pittsburgh apartment. Moving SUCKS.

Yeah, it's the first year since I started college that I don't have to do the move. Of course, my apartment is completely rearranged, and I will have to help move Dave out at some point, but it's way better than having to pack and move all of my shiznich.

Amusingly enough, last night I was sitting with ivy03, jethrien and emsical, and I was the darkest-skinned person in the room.
