My suggetion is that if you don't like David Hewlett, you probably won't like any of his other movies/performances. You've got to be kidding me. If I didn't like David Hewlett, do you think I would've watched this movie? Believe me, the only people on earth who've even heard of this film are David Hewlett fans. Jesus, read this freakin' entry. I've watched and enjoyed most things he's ever made.
But, by your logic, being a fan of someone is all or nothing, right? I have to like every single thing he's done or I shouldn't watch any of it. It's exactly that kind of thinking that led to the creation of this vainglorious turd of a movie. Let's not kid ourselves—Hewlett traded directly on the involvement of his SGA fans to get this thing made. So watching it, was, to me, like watching the expression of an overinflated ego we all helped create. As I stated above, he's very talented, but he needs someone to reign him in. I was just sorry that because of his cadre of devoted fans he thinks he's good enough all on his own. And he isn't.
