ivyficI watched SG1 on Friday. Though I've been keeping up with the back half of season three of SGA, I haven't been watching SG1. I figure it's worth it to watch the final push to the series finale. Heck, I've already watched nine and a half season, might as well, right? They're seriously trying my resolve. Badly CG-ed dragon? Daniel is possessed by Merlin? Somebody kill this show.
Afterwards, I rewatched the episode "The Abyss" to remind myself of what the show was like when it was good. Though, arguably, it had already passed its expiration date by season six.
I have to say I am deeply amused by the SGA promos: "Every whale on the planet is converging on Atlantis." ohnoooooes!!! No, I'm sorry. I don't carry if you get a deep-voiced guy to read the line with weight, it still doesn't sound menacing. I don't think there's any way to make telepathic baby whales sound menacing.
