I was walking home from work today and heard one man offering another man "a few thousand dollars" to dummy up some receipts and FedEx slips on Photoshop so they "say certain things." This was "just for an audit. It's totally legit."

Um... I'm pretty sure that's kind of fraud. And before the police come battering down my door, I have a policy of not looking people currently engaged in a criminal activity in the face, so I have no idea what they looked like.

It made me wonder, though, about all those top secret conversations the characters on Alias always had in public places. There have to be people who wandered past thinking, "what the fuck?"

This is why if you can help it, you don't say embarassing things in public places. And if you must, you should learn to say things using the most mundane words possible. Phrases like "thousand dollars" and "chemical weapons" tend to make most listeners tune in.
