Sure...she said dubiously. In an attempt to make sense of my own fic-reading habits, I've started an excel spreadsheet with everything I read. And since I was logging stuff in anyway, I put in little checkboxes for which sexual acts are performed in each story. You see, I have this theory that anal sex is more dominant in slash fiction than in gay fiction because it is the closest thing to heterosexual intercourse, and I want to see if I'm right.
I'm also keeping track of how often condoms are actually mentioned in stories. Cause even Harlequin makes a point out of talking about safe sex, and slash, in its fantasized view of sex, almost never does.
Anyway, this is beside the point. Sure, I'll help out next year, but I'm not sure I could put together as thorough and cross-referenced a meta.
