D4Darious and Dan Murrell
Jan. 10th, 2021 01:26 pmI forgot to post yesterday, so a twofer:
D4Darious
I subscribe to a couple of filmmaker how to channels. I have no interest in ever making films, but I often find it interesting to hear how the people who do such things do it. This channel is a how to for people just starting to learn film making, and has a lot of good advice for how to start projects even when you have no money and no crew. He also makes his own films, which he puts on the channel. This video breaks down basics of shot composition and framing.
Dan Murrell
Dan Murrell was a longtime member of the ScreenJunkies channel, who, in excellent timing, broke off to do his own channel on box office charts just at the start of the pandemic. He does a weekly breakdown of box office results (which mostly this year has been looking at streaming top 10s and historical results cause there’s not really anything else to talk about), covers any breaking news, and does some reviews. This is definitely a channel whose model is to get content on breaking news out as fast as possible, so is less scripted. Not really one that would hold up to later rewatching, but if you want to keep a finger on the pulse of the movie industry, it’s a good one. Here he breaks down the change in rottentomatoes ratings for WW84.
