I watched The Rock, at long last. When I was waiting in line for Alcatraz, the couple behind me were trying to remember the plot of it and coming up with random nonsense, so I decided to finally watch it and all its San Francisco-ness.
It is the most ludicrous movie I've ever scene. No decision anyone makes at any point makes any sense. The plot of National Treasure is more plausible. It is a conglomeration of shit that looks cool and that's it. The characterizations are tissue paper. I spent a good portion of the middle of the movie with my hands up in a what-the-fuck gesture cause what the fuck.
All of which I would dismiss as Michael Bay being Michael Bay, but I've heard people speak very highly of this movie, and now that I've seen it, I can't think of a single reason why.
