Aug. 19th, 2011 11:00 amI just got a new DVD player. Since I didn't want HD-DVD or Blu-Ray, and big box stores have an absolutely puny selection of plain old DVD players, I ordered it online. I did a bit of research, and settled on region-free player. I just got it and set it up and...there's a problem.
It does not have a US plug. It has a two-prong, 250V plug. *headdesk*
Help! Here's my question. I can find fairly easily online an adapter, but I know when you plug American stuff into European outlets, you need a converter, lest it explode. What do I actually need to plug this thing in? Can it work with American current? Nothing I saw on the reviews mentioned this, which leads me to believe that for the geeky Americans using it, a converter is a minor issue.
