Also a pet peeve of mine. (Did you see the movie Constantine? Cause, why is John spilling his guts about the most traumatic events of his past to Angela after knowing her for less than a day? Oh, right, so the audience knows.)
My favorite bits of the movie are all Daniel working on puzzles, first of the gate, then figuring out the language. Daniel is, of course, my favorite character (I know, I know, you're shocked).
