You know how in the Village, there's Broadway and West Broadway? West Broadway was named that after the businesses campaigned to change the name, hoping that the association with Broadway would boost foot traffic.

Just be thankful the plans to name another street Central Broadway didn't go through.

Yes, but it's a bit daunting! I never want to sit down for a couple hours and sort them. But they will come.

The story of why Park Avenue is Park Avenue in some places and Fourth Avenue in other places and the numbers switch around at 14th is also something...

Oh good, I'm glad I haven't confused all my NYC knowledge. It's been a while, but I think I could still navigate the Village pretty damn well. Aaaand now I miss it. ;)
